Julie loves the outdoors and hiking. You will often find her with friends on the Claremont Wilderness Park trail making her way around the 5 mile loop on a weekend. She's always willing to give things a try and her sense of adventure has allowed her to attend events with her three sons.

Venturing is an opportunity to continue sharing her experiences with her family and with the friends that her boys have made through the years in Scouting.

She is looking forward to growing the program and in making a difference in the lives of the crew members.

Juan is one of those guys who will try just about anything. He has often said that "life is lived outdoors" and on any given weekend you will find him in the desert camping, in the forest backpacking, or under water SCUBA diving.

An active Scouter for many years, Juan joined the Boy Scouts of America in 1973 as a member of Troop 174 in Temple City, California and stayed active with the program until he attended La Salle High School in Pasadena. Once his son, Bryan, was old enough to join Scouting Juan found himself getting involved and has held many volunteer positions with Pack and Troop 403 in Claremont.

Juan believes that Venturing offers young adults with unique opportunities to test themselves and grow into the leaders of tomorrow and is looking forward to sharing his many experiences with the crew.
